Default NX Card

Presumably all cards in a system use an amount of power and resources. Is it best i am wondering for me to remove my NX PCI X card before I upgrade to E6 and wait until the drivers are released or will it make no difference if I leave it in situ?

You can leave it in as long as you don't have a problem with Windows bugging you each time that it boots for drivers.

Quite different to the computer CPU or Graphics Display card, it is likely that the NX card requires a very small amount of power. I would think in the order of 3-4 watts max. As Jerry mentioned, it's probably better to leave it in as long as Windows doesn't complain. Disturbing the bus might just introduce a reliability issue down the track.

in device manager, disable it and it won't ask you for any more driver until you are ready to do so

Default NX PCI-X Card and Edius 6 with Win7?

I've read that Edius 6 updates are coming (someday) for NX and other cards.

The NX PCI-X card can't run in Win Vista or 7, can it?

If the updates arrive for NX, will a PCI-X card still operate with Edius 6.x in WinXPPro 32-bit?

PCI-X versions work fine in Win7 and 5.51 but the PCI-X drivers may take longer to make (if at all) than PCIe version drivers
