Default Quality USB XLR Mic input to Edius VO on Laptop

Hi all,

Anyone seen these?

http://www.cyberguys.com/templates/s...roductID=13524

I just ordered one - need to get Edius voiceover happening and with XLR to USB direct in 1 cable I think this will give me great quality!

Anyone got one and tried it in Edius?

I have never seen or used an usb mic givin quality audio.
XLR ballanched to XLR is what i use and trust. you can not get ballanched audio using usb.

Why not? Dedicated soundcards like this work perfectly with Edius:

I would get me a usb or firewire audio interface preamps with ballanched and 48v phantom.
I do use fiew firewire interfaces now from m-audio and Presonus, and optical preamps from presonus, all with ballanched audio and 48v phantom wich i use all the time.

Thanks for the input folks - its been very helpful - the price of this unit is 39.95 so I think I'll try it out first - my mic is not phantom powered, and if the quality is not quite buff enough then its not too much to have lost.. The other suggestions are all very nice though!

Anyone seen this btw? Senheisser mic with built in wav recorder!!! great for a roving mic in a conference Q&A !
