Default hp system for edius/hd

how would this system work for me. i would add the hdstorm.
would love to go with george dames system but the basic one would run me 5500.00, which right now, i just dont have.
but my current dvstorm/edius 3.62 system is still holding up, but just a matter of time.
so will this one work well or be too limited? i would add more hd as well on my own as i can only get one set of hd with this HP 9600

Remove Norton asap!
Needs a separate system drive too.

Yep, get a bigger power supply and get rid of Nortons, try and get NOD32 Antivirus.

I concur with the other guys on the PS and HD comments. I also would add more RAM

AFA as gdame's system it includes dual monitors, speakers, much more HD, etc. If you want something more bare bones, you should email him and ask. He is doing my next system for a very nice price.

Sad to say, anything Norton-branded has become bad... even Ghost.

The Symantec-branded products are a bit better. I run Symantec Endpoint Protection on my network, though the Firewall component can be a bear, so for performance-centric machines I don't enable the Firewall component and let Windows Firewall handle it.

I have built my own in the past, but George has a deal that is too good to pass up. He can build one for less than what I can get the parts. You see what I have now in my signature. The new one will be built around the HDStorm Plus.
