Default Edius won't use my bluetooth headphones

So my husband got me a pair of Bose bluetooth head phones

I needed a new pair of headphones so he took it upon himself to get me bluetooth
the computer connects them, internet, youtube all play through headphones

then I start editing in Edius but the sound comes out the speakers
help

what is your EDIUS preview device? Generic OHCI or other hardware?

EDIUS will use either the default Windows sound device or a preview device like a Blackmagic card. However, if you start it using speakers plugged into the back of the machine and then plug some headphones in the front it does not start using the headphones and carries on using the speakers. Restart EDIUS and it uses the headphones.
Did you add the Bluetooth headphones after starting EDIUS and have you closed it and restarted? Are the Bluetooth headphones set as the default windows sound device?
