K2 Connect vs K2 FTP from Source Browser

In version 5.5 you could use K2 Connect to transfer files from K2 to Edius station.
You were able to export part of this clip from Edius even if the K2 file is still in transfer.
In version 6.02 we must use K2 FTP from source browser and you can not export part of the clip until transfer from K2 to Edius is completely finished.

Let me make sure I understandb this. You don,t want to just edit a growing file but you want to export it? I don,t think that I have ever tried that.

Hello,

Customer used this workflow with Edius version 5.5 for a long time without any problem.
Now with Edius 6 and Source Browser K2 FTP this is not possible any more.
Let say that we are recording complete football game on K2 server like one clip (first half, break time and second half )
When K2 starts to record we are starting transfer to Edius.(with K2 Connect)
Editor on Edius can start to work. When the first half is finished editor wants to transfer highlights (created in Edius) to different playout server on network.
In version 6 this Is not possible.

Yes, I know that there is Dyno etc but customer used this workflow for years and he wants to use it in future too without any additional investment.
Unfortunately if we want to do that, we must to downgrade Edius to version 5.5 and K2 Connect,
