Default Titler suggestions?

I have vistitler on my current machine, but am now building a 2nd one to handle my 4k and xavc.
Any recommendations on good titlers, or just do another vistitler.
thx.

Hi Jim
My choice after looking at those available inside EDIUS is "Vistitler" plus "Blufftitler" if you want something a little cheesy but Bluff has to be used outside EDIUS and takes a bit of getting used to, but has some cheep add ins

Regards Barry

I think Vistitle is still the best; realtime and you already know it. Seems like a no brainer to me...

I agree that VisTitle is still the best. NewBlue has some things going for it but the lack of realtime is a real killer. VisTitle is still the best IMO.

with the speeds and power of pc's that are being built now... I am sure waiting 5 seconds or so to render is not that much of a big deal. lol

can it import after effect project files?

I have not used version 6 which is supposed to be better at realtime than v5 of NB Titler pro but the caching is really annoying in V5 when you are used to VisTitle. Plus at the OP owns VisTitle it makes perfect sense to me to stick to it.

It's not just the real time but the way the files are handled.

In Vistitle, if I delete my title from the timeline and the bin, I can still go and get the original from the project folder.

Try that with TP6 and you will have lost everything. You have to manually create a .nbtitle from within the TP GUI in order to save a permanent record of a title. Then, you have to open a new TP6 title to import that title again.

That takes a lot of time in a big project.

Jim: I would stick with Vistitle. You can move the dongle to the new machine and install Vistitle there. When you need to use it on the other machine, just move the dongle
to it. A word of warning. Moving the dongle back and forth over a prolonged period of time will increase the chances of the dongle failing. Buying a second copy would be worth it.
Then, you can use the share feature that is in Vistitle 2.6 and above.
Here is how it works: https://youtu.be/ek5UaOQWR8c
