Default Timeline template

I would like to be able to create a timeline with a specific sound track, where photos are placed in specific areas, and transition to the next photo to the beat of the music which I will arrange once? If this "template" could be saved it would save me a ton of work doing my music videos w/photos. Any way this can be done???

yes, place the soundtrack and place timeline markers (V key) where the beats are and then save the project

then whenever you need it, add stills between the markers and then drop the transition to all stills in one hit

A good idea might be to set the saved (template) project's (Windows Explorer) file properties to "Read Only" so it won't get accidentally changed/edited ... and then when you need to use the template you can use the File > Import Sequence function to add the template's timeline to your current project.

Alternatively, if you have a number of templates that you want to use, you might want to take a look at using the free "Post Haste" template project management application from Digital Rebellion.
