Default Stuck at home

Hi
So I can work at home, I'm upgrading to a DELL xps 8930. Need to re-install my EDIUS 5, jump to 7 then upgrade to 8 workgroup. Will I need to install the original 5 software before the 8 workgroup install? And will, first, I need to disactivate the software with licence manager on the old machine?
Any help or tips welcome Thanks

When you install the 7 jumpgrade on your new machine you will need to enter the serial numbers for both 5 & 7. Edius 7 will then be activated. There is no need to have 5 installed.

From memory 5 was 32 bit 7 is 64 bit. I started with E6 which was activated via a dongle and did not 'phone home. Was not 5 activated from a dongle?

Pretty sure can keep 5 on your old machine but I doubt you would use it once you start with 7

Oops! Just re-read your post. You have 7 and are moving to 8WG. You will only need serials for 7 and 8 assuming of course that 8 is an upgrade from 7. If 7 is on your old machine don't forget to deactivate if you pass the machine on.

Talking

If all versions are registered you can just install a clean version of edius 8 and skip the upgrade...
Download the latest 8.53 full installer from your account

You will need to create an Edius id for Edius 8
