DeckLink Mini Recorder cards at B&H with about every possible edit systen mentioned under the spesifications except Grass Valley Edius. Will Edius 7 support these boards?

No. EDIUS will output the sound from the Mini Monitor when it is using it for picture. If you disable the mini monitor then you can get sound from the normal sound card.

You need to monitor the sound through the TV attached to the HDMI/SDI.

Ok.
Thanks.
The behavior is different from BM Intensity pro.

Actually it's not. With the Intensity Pro set as an output device the audio would always go out through that as well, but the Intensity Pro also has stereo analog output cables which you can loop back to the line-in on your soundcard

It's the same with ALL hardware in EDIUS, Grass Valley, Matrox and Blackmagic. In Premiere it is possible to set the sound to come out through the sound card and picture to come out through the Blackmagic but it is generally a bit out of sync. The best way to ensure the sync is to sound and picture through the same device.

Other than a slight latency the Mini Monitor is great. Have been using it for a while now and had no issues. It's silly cheap and is great for domestic and professional monitoring options.

As all of my production stuff is file based, I now use the Mini instead of my HDBX100. Even my old trusty Spark is packed back in its box, as unfortunately, the Mini is more versatile.

I wouldn't hesitate in recommended the Mini Monitor. And as David is saying, the Mini Recorder is just as good.

As good as these simple devices are, I would really love a GV made card that done play out over HDMI and SDI at all the now available frame rates, resolutions and frame structures.
