Default Timestamp a day off? Edius 8.5

I am working with a Sony FDR-AX33 camera and the video was recorded in XAVC. I import the xml file which shows the correct time and date, but when I overlay the timestamp on the onscreen display, the date is exactly 1 day ahead. The XML file shows <CreationDate value="2019-06-21T20:30:52-06:00"/> But the OSD shows 06/22/19 20:30:52.

Maybe I'm missing something simple but why would the day be 24 hrs ahead?

It is possible to share a sample with us so we can have a look?

Default Sample

The original video is 40 GB in size so if I cut the video to say, a 30 second sample, would the original XML file now work for the timestamp? The video itself never seems to bring in the timestamp unless I load the XML file into the bin, which then brings in the video and the timestamp information. So if I split the video, how do I get the XML to see the new 30 second video?

Thanks!

Maybe it best to record 10 second of color bar or film something for 20 sec?

Seems to work fine with my AX53 using source browser. Transferring with Catalyst Browse includes time code and properties does show time of day but are not displayed in overlay. Time code is displayed though. Source browser includes everything from the AX53 with correct time. I know that Catalyst Browse does quote time in relation to area from GMT so could be incorrect at times !! I have found confusion with setting daylight savings time so do not do that anymore just set the time.

Should correct this as bringing in the XML file from Catalyst Browse does then show the correct time. Not something I do normally.

Default Edius and Time

I will record some video today. Need to step out later and purchase a large SD Card as I only have 8GB left in size and the camera just laughs at the lack of storage.

If I record 10 seconds of video, how do I attach the XML file? It doesn't appear in the list of valid file extensions?

Thanks

Catalyst and file properties all show as correct, even the XML file has the proper time. It's only when using the XML file as I have to have the overlay on the video, that the time now becomes 24 hours ahead. I've tried every other method I could think of to get the video to show the timestamp in the overlay, but nothing worked, so importing the XML was the only way to get the OSD to work.

Thanks

Default Sample video

Just tested it and sure enough, Edius sees the timestamp as being a day ahead.
The XML file shows the date as Thursday, August 1st, but Edius shows it as Friday, Aug 2nd. Bizarre

Also, how do I upload the XML file as it is an invalid file format? Should I change the extension to a video format and whoever tests it can then change the extension back to XML before testing? Also, the sample is apparently too big to add as attachments even though it's only 10 seconds in length.

I really needed this sorted out as I can't have my files, used as evidence, with the incorrect timestamps.

Thanks!

I just imported the xml file into the bin and used that as the video file in the timeline. Need to scroll to the bottom of the bin import window and select all files in that directory and the xml will then show.

I have looked into this in a little more detail. Mediainfo I think also gets the date incorrect !! I recorded my test on 30 July at 8:56pm however both Media info and the Sony actually set time based on UTC. So in this case shows the date to be the 31 July since for me in Canada I am -5 hours from UTC so in the UK it would be the 31 July at 1:56am which was what Mediainfo was showing for my file. I expect this is also what EDIUS is doing. Not sure how to correct this.
