Default Edius and 60 FPS capture with BM cards.

Hi.

Does anyone know if there are plans to allow 60 FPS capture from BM cards using Edius?

Cheers,
Dave.

No telling when, or if, that will be added.

Do you have a BM Intensity Pro 4K? If so, have you tried capturing HD 60p with Media Express? That will get it in to the system.

Yes, I've been using the BM software but I'm wanting to record direct to HQ/X, which I can only do at a maximum of 59.94. Thanks.

If you're getting 59.94p 1080, I wouldn't expect a rush to add 60p capture. Does it work on 30p or 29.97p?
If not, then capture appears to match output frame rates.

There are other rates although I don't use them. I'm recording the GPU output. The problem is that I view at 60 and not 59.94, in which case unfortunately the capture can't lock to the frame of the GPU output in Edius.

There are workarounds, record 59.94 and reconform in Edius to 60. But there's then then an issue with other synced sources drifting out of time as the captures are generally very long. Plus I'd also have keep resetting various things in the computer all the time.

It's just very odd that E9 has 60 FPS project ability but not capture.
