Default GV Browser not opening at all

I recently purchased Edius 8.11 and only today heard about the GV Browser. I opened edius and clicked "GV Browser" but nothing happened. I went to the path "C:\Program Files\Grass Valley\EDIUS 8 and double clicked "GV Browser.exe" but nothing happened. I even checked my processes in the task manager but it's not running.

Why can't I open GV Browser?

You didn't see the the extra thumbnail on the desktop that says GV Browser during the trial?
Did you uninstall the trial completely and install the full 8.11 version with anti virus either off or uninstalled?

I might have seen other icons but when I install software that puts multiple icons on my desktop (like AVCHD2HQ for example) I just delete everything but the main icon I need and don't really pay attention to what they were.

Yes, I installed a fresh copy of Edius when I got it.

can you open EDIUS and then go to Tools, GV Browser

wait a minute or two, it can take some time the first time you use it, after that it will open instantly

Waited a few minutes but it didn't open.

1. Would re-installing Edius help?
2. If I re-install Edius, will all my custom stuff go back to default or will Edius keep my settings? (saved window layouts, KB shortcuts, effect folders, profiles, etc...)

By the way, GV browser must be having SOME influence because when Edius is closed, there is only ONE file in "C:\Users\Zvi\AppData\Roaming\Grass Valley\GV Browser" called "Contents.db"

As soon as Edius opens, two more files are created there...
"Contents.db-shm"
"Contents.db-wal"

and those two delete themselves when Edius gets closed again.

while EDIUS is open, go to tools and click GV Browser, wait a few min and then go to help menu and generate a system report and attach here or email to me

I should be able to see all things running and items that could prevent it from running

uninstall and reinstall does not remove any of your custom stuff, you don't even need to deactivate when uninstalling

when you reinstall, you won't need serial

Ok, restarted computer and did what you said. Didn't open.

I'm not re-installing yet... maybe you'll find something in the report. Attached.

In the meantime, I'll try to create a TEST user in Windows and see if it will open in the new user.
