What do mean? Buffer is dependant on buffer setting and Project preset.

Settings... System Settings... Application... Playback... set the Playback Buffer Size to 512MB... then hit ctrl-spacebar on the timeline to start the buffer... the wrong buffer size is used

the statusbar does not and never has shown the buffer size, it shows how many frames will play in realtime before the buffer runs out or refills

the smaller the project dimension, the larger the indication

a 1920x1080 project may show around 127/128 with 512 buffer

OK. Since I upgraded to the latest version a couple days ago... the numbers are different... but it sounds like it's working how it should... thank you.

The numbers vary depending on the type of project - you get fewer frames in a higher resolution project. They also drop to 5 frames when you have things like the Audio mixer open and are using it to write audio keyframes.
