Just be careful ... A lot of the high end graphic cards today (including 9800 GTX+) are so "FAT" it requires the space of 2 physical slots .... so, if you have a fully loaded PC, you will find problems plugging one of those cards in.

I am one of those people now :-(:.

Try to find one with 1GB Video RAM. I have one Gigabyte 9500GT with 1GB DDR3 VRAM sitting in the box - really cheap ... about US$60 - brought in Singapore.

But, I am not sure if it will make a difference, compared with my Quadro 3500 installed right now.

Of course, 9500GT is better than 9400GT ... both of them have 1GB RAM - but, I noticed 9400GT is only DDR2 - whereas my Gigabyte is DDR3. Price about comparable.

Dont know if this matters but my MB is Gigabyte GA-X48-DQ6
DDR2 so would this suite ok

If you can only find 9400GT, then go for the 1GB version. Motherboard makes no impact to the choice of graphics card.

Why can't you find 9500GT with 1GB DDR2 or DDR3 in UK? Gigabyte makes one - I have it in front of me right now.
