Whoa, hang on a minute. We've delivered exactly what we said we would in the IBC press release:

http://www.grassvalley.com/news/pres...ase-of-edius-8

The OFX Bridge is a separate installation and we will be posting an open beta within the next 24 hours.

congratulations to the engineers !!!!!!!!!
2 things.
1. The new features were never promised to be delivered at one time. It was clearly stated that the new features would be added during the life time of the Edius 8 project.
If you wrongly surmised that all the new features were to be delivered in the October update, that is all on you.

2. What are your project settings and your export settings when you export to .mov? .mov is slow, it always has been. In the Quicktime drop down, what codec are you using for export?
If you are using h.264 as your codec, it will definitely take a lot of time.

Personally, I would apologize to the engineers for the sarcasm. They just do what they are told to do.

Hello
First test of Edius 8.1 Exporting to MP4 file

Using QUICKSYNC timeline project duration 3 minutes 45 seconds
Edius 8 workgroup Exporting 1 minutes 58 seconds
Edius 8.1 Workgroup 52 seconds !!!!

I also like the new default color of the Interface...darker but better for my eyes...
I can also make it brighter or darker...are there any other changes in comparison to the Version 8?
I think that playback is now better (smoother) than before... even with my 2600k Sandy Bridge.

I deleted this post after reading some other comments regarding the "improved GUI".

Respectfully,

Hi Alan,

Most of the GUI improvements you talk about are in 8.1. (compared to IBC)
If you can show me what you are talking about I am willing to have a look.
The scale of adjustment for colors for example have been adjusted the default has changed among other things.
Like the in out region color, selection colors the in out markers.
I'll see if I can get a list of all the GUI changes fixes.

We did also show some future enhancements/funtions IIRC but those where named as such.

Upcoming features after 8.1 not in 8.1 Is this the reference?
