Default Please help !!!!!!!!!!

I have HD Strom Bay, FIRECODER BLU and MovieFactory 5, but I want to ask you questions to help:
- What file export movie by Edius 5:50 then Firecoder Blu to convert?
- How many birates for 2 hours of Firecoder Blu?
- After working converting the menu MovieFactory.
Please help me and can only result in images or video.
Thanks

Two problems with your question
1: what do you want to export to DVD or Bluray
2: Depending on the first answer Firecoder only works from Edius for Bluray not DVD mpeg, a real oversight by GV, you need to go to TMPGenc Video Master works for that!

Try using the "Export to Disk" with your project and select the encoder settings, Information on the final file size and if it fits on your chosen destination is available
For best results VBR is essential BUT for 2 hours on a DVD???? not great quality

Then use the settings you got to put into the mpeg encoder export, make sure you select the correct encoding level and set "Quality" to "Super Fine"

Regards Barry

Burn to Disc does create menus which you can customise but there are problems with motion backgrounds for Bluray

Ok john
It is Bluray that you are after
From Edius the only export available via Firecoder is H264 whether you chose H264 or mpeg so MAX bit rate is 23mb, quality is OK most will not pick it!
The Quality is excellent and will definately fit 2 hours onto a Bluray

Best option

Export to HQ avi
import to Firewriter 1.11 and export to mpeg
VBR
Max 32mb
Ave 28mb
Dolby AC3 @384kb
Then import to DVD Moviefactory

Even Better
Export to HQ avi
Import into TMPGenc Video Master Works 5
Export using the SPURS Engine module at the same bit rate

Video is unbelievable

Regards Barry

I take it that DVDMovie Factory is re encoding and taking a Loooong time
When starting DVD Movie Factory click on the small button on the bottom left of the screen and select "Disk Template Manager"

Select the Bluray Standard
Select the two mpeg options in turn and click on the Edit Button
Under the compression tab
Set Quality to 100%
Video Data Rate to 37000, so long as this is above the data rate on your video it will not re encode
Set Audio to Dolby and 384 Khz

Do the same for the H264 settings but set bit rate to 20000 in case you ever want to use it

Do the same for BD-J settings from the beginning and you should end up with some excellent video quality
If DVDMf re encodes it makes a real mess of the video

For DVD you need to do the same but set the bit rate to use the Hi Quality setting to 8200

Regards Barry

I think ! in Movie Factory Preferences you can tick a box to stop encoding compliant files ????
