I think this may have been mentioned before, but for relatively little $$$ you might install a new, larger power supply.

I've solved several troublesome problems that a new p/s magically resolved.

Interested to hear if this problem went away and how you solved it. Do share your solution to the freezing as the guys here have seen most problems and fixes and it is all shared knowledge to help us all.
Vitascene gave me these issues and an uninstall fixed it. I have reloaded Vitascene with the update but haven't extensively trialled it yet.
