If you have an older PC you could put Edius 5 or 6 on it and install FFCB and network
Alternativly if your current PC has a 1X slot (required for FCB) install FCB and install Tmpgenc4 or Video Mastering Works 5 and use that as it supports FCB You could also Use FCB with the FCB software that still converts files to H264 in standalone mode

Clever, right? From my view, FCB was a work in progress & the end of life has been started before the product got a final state. It has worked with EDIUS 5.5 & 6 fine, but for H264 only. MPEG2 was supported by the buggy lousy tool only. GV simply didn't finalize their job on it & now the support in 6.5 has been dissected. Congratulation! That increases users trust in product cycles.
