Unhappy Edius v8 Workgroup activation issues

I'm hoping that a moderator on the forum maybe able to help me.
I recently rebuilt my laptop, I'm 99% certain that I deactivated the license for Edius from the laptop before reformatting.
However when I try to reactivate I get a message suggesting I have reached the activation limit for my serial number.

Having looked at a group on Facebook it seemed I just needed to e-mail support@grassvalley.com, but the general response was nobody was willing to help me unless I created a portal support account (which seems to be for business customers, which I'm not).

I then saw a page on Edius.net which suggested that I e-mail support@edius.net. They replied and said yes I just needed to e-mail back with my serial number and they would sort it.
I e-mailed back and nothing, silence, I've chased the e-mail again and still no further reply.

Please why is it so difficult to get my software reactivated???

If someone wants to see evidence of purchase, that's fine as I have e-mail receipts for my purchase and the free upgrade to v8 workgroup which GV provided (when people complained features had been removed from Pro).
I can also provide a screenshot from my GV account showing all my serial numbers going back to EDZV and Xplode.

simply contact your EDIUS reseller and you should be up and running in seconds

at least every reseller has evaluation serials they can give you while the issue is sorted

unless you bought from a reseller that no longer exists?

I think the issue is I purchased the Edius Pro v8 Jump upgrade, so the code I got from Videoguys.com is different to the one in my profile which came in an e-mail direct from edius_freeupgrade@grassvalley.com which upgraded the code to Edius Workgroup v8.
So the license code from Videoguys was replaced with a different one (so not something they would be able to reset.

I'm frustrated at the lack of anyone from GV or the German reseller responding to me about this issue. :(

if you buy from Videoguys, why should the German reseller help you?

If you buy from me, you would be editing now :)

Because "If your local EDIUS reseller cannot help you, you can contact the technical support of the Grass Valley Distributor magic multi media GmbH. They will help EDIUS users - even those who are just testing the 30-day trial version!"
It's noted on the support page of Edius.net :) https://www.edius.net/support.html

GV have reset the activations so when I get home I should be able to get editing again.

The people at EDIUS.NET are normally very good. They will probably be a bit slower in responding now as many of them will be at IBC.
