When you open up to edit the mask you will notice what looks like a connecting node, which is actually a loop, around the same location where the artifact is.
I moved this loop ever so slightly and the artifact went away.

But it's not the point. Today when I created two circle masks and they connected together I had the same. I don't see such thing on Davinci.

I just did 2 circle masks and I don't get an artifact.
