Default edius 5 and firecoder blu newbie questions

Hi all
Could anyone give me help in understanding the basics in using firecoder blu with edius 5.
1) what is the preferred input format or project settings to capture hdv would i use canopus hq fine or standard or even lossless avi to eventually get to blu ray disc i am using a canon hv30 1920x1080
2)once the correct timeline and project is ready to encode to blu ray do i just simply use firecoder blu to encode, and what is the right settings for my project for fcb?
i am not sure of what steps in need to do
first time user of fcb and edius 5 for hd and bluray
i know these are "dummy" questions a little help may go a long way
ps fcb should be at my door tommorow (not installed yet!!!)

This link should help.

Even though it relates to Panasonic`s AVCCAM it should also work for you with your Canon HV30.
