I usually click the snap shot icon on top of my timeline, if it is not there, you can place it there by going to application settings and customize the timeline buttons

then in plugin settings, change the default file format for stills to jpg

I use tga for best results and then convert to jpg in Photoshop

Video is (to me) considered low quality (72 dpi) vs. print quality (300 dpi) so don't expect miracles.

is your project HD or SD?

if SD, you will get very good stills

either way, the important thing is that you preset Edius to save the still as tga (uncompressed), then in Photohop you can save as jpg with quality slider on maximum
