I don't know the price, just a wild guess by looking at specs

The history of the high end Canopus gear would suggest a high price tag. I have fingers crossed they don't follow this history.

One interface for BOTH desktops and laptops - how nice. Hope the price is not like 20 laptops ....

I am really hoping they remain at least in the ball park of BMD products, but dont forget this hardware actually WILL integrate with the software without the bugs and workarounds typical of hardware third party manufacturers designed for other vendors software. This is an advantage worth stressing over and over.

It will be interesting to see where they place the costing. In the past they have charged premium rates and in my view sacrificed market share. Is GV brave enough to believe Edius 6 will "catch-on" and justify lower prices maintaned by greater volume? Really I hope so and in reality GV can't afford it any other way. No one wants a great product to "tank".

It's a little over the top for laptop use, but a "bad @$$" box none-the-less!

Interesting that it has hardware downconversion. I wonder how the result looks?
