Default Renaming sequence in Bin

Version 9.40.5106

Might be a simple answer to this. Renaming a sequence in the bin. Double click on sequence to open in timeline but has got the default name on timeline still.
Don't beat me too hard.... :)

The safest way to rename a sequence is to do it on the timeline tab by double right clicking. As you can see if you name in the Bin, it is possible to have one name on the timeline tab and a different one in the Bin.

Thanks for the answer. I kinda knew it was not joined up thinking with the previous version I had. I thought this version might have sorted it. Back to the editing.

Another "perfect" method is:

Select the sequence in the BIN > klick ALT+F2 > enter a new name.

This works not only for sequences but also for Clips.

// Its my preferred way.

Either in the Bin or on the Timeline, right-click on the name tab and select Sequence Settings. Changing the name in either, updates the name in both. This works in WG9 for sure.

I've been bemused following this thread as that is the way I have always done it since sequences arrived in vers 4. Maybe we have both been lucky Rick??
