Default 2012 Dec. Up to now, I have evaluated the following Edius 6.52 plugins, FYI.

Since I already purchased Canopus HD Storm plus, therefore I like to use Edius for my own NLE DIY work. Recently I just upgrade PC hardware devices, obviously I reinstall OS to 64 bit Windows 8 , then finish installing Edius 6.52 with additional updated plugins.

Here is the list , FYI.

Class one ( support Edius 6.52 directly) :

Vistitle 2.1 English version ;

CINEMA SUITE XD1 ( under Edius 6.52, import it) ;

Newbule creative Effect tools Ver 3.0 , including :

NewBlue Film Effects
NewBlue Light Effects
NewBlue Motion Effects
NewBlue Paint Effects

Newbule Transitions Ver 3.0 , including :

3D Transformations
Art Blends
Light Blends
Motion Blends
Paint Blends

Newbule Video Essentials Tools Ver 3.0 , including :

Video Essentials II
Video Essentials III
Video Essentials IV

Video Essentials VI

NewBlue Titler Pro 2.0 with Starter Pack

I have evaluated such plugins by myself, and tested successfully. Just for your information .

BTW I am willing to post demo video on Youtube.

My current DIY NLE system : 64bit Win8 Enterprise, i7 3770K, 32GB DDR3 1600 DRAMs. Z77 mainboard.

Class Two :

Although they are AE CS4 plugins, but they support Boris Red 5.2.2 directly, therefore we could launch Edius 6.52 first, then adopt Boris Red 5 as video filter, afterwards under Boris Red 5.2 editing environment , load them as effect of Boris . When you finishing saving such Boris project, quit Boris red , obviously you may return to Edius 6.52, eventually , such effect would be available under Edius !

I made it and gathered the following AE CS4 plugins:

Boris Continuum Complete 7 or 8
Boris Final Effects Complete 6 or 7
GenArts Sapphire 6.13

Class three : Edius VST plugins, I installed and tested successfully.

iZotope RX 2 Advanced 2.10
iZotope Ozone 5.02
BIAS SoundSoap PRO 2.0

Class four : AE CS4 plugins, need Edius AE bridge to load...

Magic Bullet Looks 2.0
Magic Bullet Colorista 2.0
Magic Bullet MisFire
Magic Bullet Mojo 1.2
Magic Bullet Cosmo 1.0
frischluft Flair 1.28
Profound Effects CameraPOV 1.0

My DIY/NLE system : 64bit Win8 Enterprise , Nvidia GTX 680, i7 3770K .
I installed and tested every plugin by myself, most of plugins are stable except ProDAD adorage 3.0.95

Pls note , I have a solution to accomplish GenArts Sapphire 6.13 with full functionality.

My DIY experience :

1: Don't try to adopt GenArts Sapphire 6.13 effects via AE bridge of Edius !
Otherwise you can not load presets of Sapphire , it's unacceptable.

2: Install Boris Red 5.2.2 (it supports Edius 6.52 directly).

3: Install GenArts Sapphire 6.13 (it supports Boris Red 5.2.2 directly)!

4: Under Edius 6.52, try to adopt Boris Red 5.2.2 , as video filter .

5: Click it to get into the workflow menu of Boris Red 5.2.2,

6: do nothing, just try to select an filter/effect of Boris Red !

7: Since GenArts Sapphire 6.13 supports Boris Red 5.2 directly. Obviously you could find out GenArts Sapphire plugins under Boris Red workflow menu .

8: Click then check such GenArts Sapphire plugin menu , afterwards , you could load preset menu and you might use more and more presets freely !

9: Save such Boris Red project ( click "Apply" ), then quit Boris Red 5, return to workflow menu of Edius .

10: Now, you will get : what you expect ( GenArts Sapphire ) effect.

Done.

I could prove it , make relevant demo video files, then post them on youtube. FYI.

ProDAD Adorage magic 3.0.95 is really working with your 6.52 installation? We did extensive tests and Edius is crashing because when using Adorage the Edius.exe task is allocating Ram beyond 3GB (as seen in the task manager). Here you can download a screen capture:

http://www.video-cut.com/docs/Ado_Crash.zip

Please check it and post your results here or send me a PM. TIA!

A few of the things mentioned in the posted list will/can cause stability issues or don't work correct.
But anyone is free to experiment. :)

Steve we're in contact with ProDAD's engineering. The Ado thing is something which is 100% reproducable here (at least in PAL countries). Hopefully the thread starter (or someone els) may test it also.

I know the ProDAD adorage 3.0.95 is not stable under Edius 6.52, makes Edius crash all the time. Currently my solution, under Edius 6.52, create in / out point for a short range, then try to use SHIFT+Q to get rendered video asset, then , try next range, finally I could accomplish the rendering process. It's tough, but, at least I could make it.

I equipped 32GB DDR3 1600 DRAMs, now I have to do as the above way. I am looking forward to getting the updated patch from ProDAD, to fix such issue directly...

BTW the updated patch 3.0.96.2 could fix the crash issue of Edius , please upgrade such patch ASAP.
