Steve says US$380, not sure what the conversion ends up, plus local taxes.

But they said upgrade form E5 is free of charge.
Many vendors do this for purchases made after the official announcement of the new release or some similar cut-off. Have to see what GV elects to do.

Questions:

Has the encoder been changed/improved?

Can Edius 6 export Flash files?

Can Edius 6 input and export files with an Alpha channel?

Has the downconvert to SD process been updated/ improved?

Is there a bitrate calculator in the encoder dialogue?

Thank you

As to downconversion process, I asked the question to two different GV representatives. Neither of them seemed to be aware of the problem, and definitely not of any improvements made to the exporter in this respect.

I think the encoder is basically the same
Edius could always import files with Alpha but it still cannot export and alpha and retain it.
No change on the downconvert from Edius, However I did see that one of the new boards has a hardware downconvert process, but I do not know anything specific about it.
No bitrate calculator

On the Japanese mention that EDIUS 6 is accompanied by a Titler of advanced features and intuitive, my query is: How much progress was made with Quick Titler or there is another new title by default with greater resources than the previous?
