Default Firecoder Blu Install

I'm having a custom computer built and my builder wants me to check on getting some install advice for Firecoder Blu. I'm not sure if the install guide is not clear or not, but is there a printed guide I can download that shows all instructions for loading Edius V.5 and Firecoder Blu? I have questions concerning which slot the Firecoder Blu card has to go in. I've read here in posts that the Firecoder Blu card "has" to go into a particular slot to work correctly. Any information would help.

Components are:
Supermicro MBD-X8DAi-O DUAL lga 1366 iNTEL 5520 extended ATX dual iNTEL zeon processor 5500 SEQUENCE (Nehalem-ep processor), (2) 6GB (3X2GB) 240 pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 ECC unbuffered triple channel memory, (5) Western Digital Caviar Black500GB 7200 RPM SATA Drives. Win 7 64bit, BFG Invidia 9800GT Graphics card with 1GB ram.

Hi Bruce

I dont know your M/board but FCB has been a little picky on some M/boards favouring the PCIe x1 slots.....the only install guide I know of is the one that comes with the FCB....it is also available from the support section of the GV website.

Win 7 is not yet officially supported so you will need to use the Vista 64 drivers in the meantime (on the install CD) and there is also an update to Firecoder Writer software also available from the support section of the GV website....most seem to prefer the Beta 1.02 over the 1.10 release.

To access the support section of the site you will need to log in & register your products then you can access all updates and manuals for your registered products....just creat a user account if you do not allready have one.

Just an comment but personally I would recommend the Western Digital RAID Edition drives over the Caviar Black Edition drives....makes more sense for Video and price difference is not great.

Regards

Dave.
