Default Unable to import MPG audio after 9-50-5351 update

I am unable to import audio from an MPG (mpeg 2) after upgrading to 9.50.5351. I uninstalled that and went back to 9.1.3086 and am now able to import mpgs again with audio. Any ideas anyone?
Thanks!
Rich

I've tried several mpg files with no luck so it's not specific to just one file. I am able to import mp4, avi, etc. Other file types work fine just not mpg files. And the same mpg files that I was unable to open in version 9.50.5351 I can open with no problem in the older version 9.1.3086.

Download these two files and try to import them. One is an MPEG 1 and the second is a Broadcast MPEG 2 file.
Centaur_1 is MPEG1 and Hale_Bopp_2 is an MPEG 2.
Both of these import into Edius 9.5 without issue.
Attached Files
File Type: zip MPEG1_MPEG2.zip (13.74 MB, 7 views)

I would convert the mpg files to wav files. With mpg you are going to get questionable quality and the audio has a good chance of being out of sync. Also when you export the video including mpg audio it will go down another another notch in quality.

WHAT???? Why would you convert to a wav? On this side of the pond it's an audio file.

Rich, where's the mediainfo requested?

IIRC, Mpeg-2 Audio files have always been problematic within Edius, any version.
