OK guys. Need some help here. Installed the Decklink Mini 4K video card in my computer. The online info from Blackmagic says it works with EDIUS. The card is working great with After Effects, Resolve and the other Blackmagic tools. But when I click the Mini's square on "System Setup Preview" - EDIUS crashes. EDIUS is working great with the HDSpark. I've rebooted, and then tried to find other settings that would work - but no go.
Any ideas?? Thanks, Alan

Sorry all - I just saw the other thread re: Blackmagic cards - and will continue to follow that one up. It seems the main difference between D.M. and my situation, is that the BM card works absolutely fine with ALL BM software. Setting it for UHD outputs a beautiful pix, as setting it with HD to my Samsung. Could it be only the HD Spark card installed - which stilll works fine with the BM card installed, incidentally.
Alan

The mini 4K card is a 4X lane card. You do have a dedicated 16x slot running that will run at 4x. It however has a 1X default setting. The catch with that is it shares bandwidth with the two PCIEX-1 slots.
These are running off of the chipset lanes. The PCIEX-2 slot also shares bandwidth with SATA6G_12 If you have the Spark card in either of the 1x slots, and the Mini 4K in the PCIEX 16_3 slot(4x slot), this may be where your issue lies. Look at the screen shots. The Orange boxes are the shared slots. I would put the GPU in the PCIEX16_1 slot an the 4K MIni Monitor in the PCIEX16_2 slot, This will have both slots running at 8X. These are shown with the Red Arrows in the screen shot. This is going to be the same issue when you go to a new 9900k system. You only have 16 pci-e lanes controlled by the CPU and maybe a slot with 4X lanes controlled by the Chipset.
