Default Alternatives to Edius for NX /HX-E2

Maybe someone can help out?

Installed Edius NX and trial of Edius 7. Doesn´t work, says trial has ended. Anyway, drivers seem to be installed correctly. There is a device "HX-E2" and another device "AV/C Tape Recorder / Player".

VDub offers the second device for capture but there is no signal.

Any way to get this card up and running for capturing wihtout buying Edius software?

In a word NO. NX hardware will only work with Edius and I'm fairly sure that after 6.5 was not supported although may work. Of course the E7 trial is over as we are now up to 9.5.

If I recall correctly the NX card still worked fine in Edius 7, just not supported...

You may be able to get the NHX cards to work in and up to Edius 8, but not Edius 9.

As mentioned above, not officially supported, but will work in up to Edius 8.
