Default Edius 9 Slideshow

I want to create a video slideshow with about 700 still photos. No special effects required, some title overlays. I do need to display the filename of each photo on screen.
Is there any quick way of doing that, or do I have to create individual 700 titles?

Is 100 slides in 1minute 45 seconds quick enough for you?

Then look at Proshow - Producer or Gold.
You will still have to learn the software, but . . . . . . .

Douglas, will Proshow automatically show the file name on screen?
Or, will the OP have to create the name cards?

Yes Gerry,
Proshow Producer has a macro function that is so easy to use that even I can manage.
Here is a quick video tutorial I rushed out just now:

The OP is asking for the file name of each still. I'm guessing, the original name of each still. What you are showing is the same name for each still but with a new number for each.

That may be sufficient for the OP. The OP willl need to clarify.

Thanks for the video.

Jerry,
Those are the original names on the slides I used for that quick tutorial.
By slide names, I am referring to the actual file names he is using.
There are other functions available. Until Max see what I have posted and responds, we don't if what I have shown is what he wants or not.
Now I'm of to my futon.......I'll see if there is anything new in the morning.
Zzzzzzzz

Many thanks Douglas! That is exactly what I am after - original file name of each slide/picture on screen.
I'll need to get hold of ProShow and try it out.
Thank you for your efforts in responding to my question.
This forum is great!
Cheers,
Max

Glad to have been able to help, Max
If you have any other Proshow questions, don't be afraid to ask me. I am not an expert, but I may be able to assist.

Douglas

I have installed the trial version of Proshow GOLD, and yes, this option is in the GOLD version.
And I was very quickly able to add the filename, and the date, to all slides, thanks to the demo tutorial provided by Douglas. When adding the macros there is a choose of "Predefined Macros" and "EXIF Metadata Macros" so you can pull EXIF data easily.
Fantastic!

Thanks once again.
Max

That is good news!
I must admit, I hadn't used macros before. It was only after I saw your post for help, that I took a look for the function.
Thank you for the motivation, Max!

Douglas
