Updating 9.40 to 9.50

I tried to update from pro 9.40 to 9.50 but I couldn't. The message modify setup, deactivate and uninstall. Nothing has changed in my PC same OS win10 pro -1903 no new virus protection everything just remains as it was since I installed the edius 9.0 What could be the problem? Do I have to really uninstall the Edius no other solution? Thanks in advance for your help.

Deactivate the (new) virusprotector and try again.

9.4 has an old License manager

1. uninstall EDIUS and do not deactivate
2. uninstall Mync
3. uninstall GV License manager
4. empty appdata/local/Temp
5. install 9.5 (no serial number needed)

all the above will take 4min at the most
