Default EDIUS 8 WG - Quicksync ??

Haven't changed any monitor hookups - just loaded EDIUS 8 WG onto new SSD. How can I tell if Quicksync is working? It took 3 min 50 sec to output a 3 min 30 sec. timeline to AVI Standard HQ 1920x1080 4:2:2 file, and 2 min 10 sec to output a 40 second timeline Main Title to the same specs. That doesn't sound correct - and I don't recall how to check it!

Many thanks guys,
Alan

Quicksync is only used for mp4 (H264/AVC) export

standard HQ export should be way faster? unless your source files are mov or 4k

Thanks Anton,

Actually, I went through the EDIUS 8 WG setup again, and found one of those "silly" little mistakes that are often overlooked. Embarrassing! I marked in and out on a very short piece of the entire timeline, and then when exporting the AVI file - the "Export between IN and OUT" box was NOT checked. So I exporter the entire timeline - which, of course, took 10 times the amount of time! Hate to relay this kind of stupidity - but there's the truth of the matter.

Happy to have your observations anyway.
Alan
