Tobe

My friend came round with his MacBoook Pro and we imported the ProRes 422 clip I made with Acrovid Footage Studio 4K and it imported into FCP and played instantly.

There is a free trial.

I bought the software.
Had been using handbrake but want to export in EDIUS-HQ etc for MP4s, ProRes, etc.

Long Gop 50MBs mpeg is great - it is how I send TV ads to UK Broadcasters but it is not for everyone.
Mp4 at high data rates from Handbrake X264 is problem free. On a USB stick they will play on a TV screen which mpegs often wont.
Anton and others said to give clients MPEGS
as per my subject title it's MPEGS that they aren't able to read :/

No Anton, they're on PC. They gave me PC formatted new hard drive to put all their files on and no luck :/
I've never had clients have issues with MPEG before

as it stands this issue is unresolved and I need to resolve it for my clients :(

were they client supplied disks NTFS formatted? Did you test playback on their disk prior to handing it over?

what audio format did you choose in the mpeg exporter? If you selected ac3, they may not be able to play it

Why don't you try reading the first two posts you made in this thread.

I still havn't got a resolution for this.
As mentioned in the first post, the clients are unable to play Mpegs created with edius..

In the past you guys in the forum have suggested I give clients mpegs as opposed to Avi files
I sent the client the Edius codec links but nothing has worked so far.. :/

it's been 5 weeks since I supplied the client their videos
