Default Audio Mixing on Channel Composer

Hi,

We have few segments on a channel that has ambient audio on the left and speech on the right.

I used the audio settings on Channel Composer to mix the audio i.e. Audio channel 1 = Audio channel 1 + Audio channel 2 and Audio channel 2 = Audio channel 2 + Audio channel 1.

When I do this, instead of mixing the audio it amplifies it and distorts the audio.

Please let me know which is the best way to achieve this.

I have attached the channel pack.

Regards,
Roshan.

Hi Alex,

The output channel's audio is the sum of the routed input channels. If you want to achieve e.g. a 50-50 mix then you'd also have to adjust the Audio Levels of the routed input channels, using the Audio Level properties (under Audio Levels/Routing).

Regards,
Roy
