What kind of camera interface do you desire then? SDI? Or just capture component? HPX172 has SDI, but HMC152 has HDMI. I haven't heard of portable capture equipment for HDMI so far .... but SDI - yes. Costs only US$6,000 !!! Might as well buy a HPX172 for that money.

You see, it is not the SSD - but, what kind of interface - and that is expensive. The h/w needed to acquire the signal and record it into some kind of codec that is off the camera - that's not cheap.

Might as well just buy the HPX172 and P2 cards and be done with.
