You can release the monitor from Edius by turning it off in hardware monitoring in the system settings, it's a pain but at least you don't have to shut Edius down when sharing with Adobe apps.

Resolve grumbles a lot if you pull the output from focus too.

I've asked many times for Edius to be a little more intelligent when it comes to resource management like this, but it's still a system hog!
