No real surprise, UHD files can be either CPU or HDD intensive depending on the codec used and the frame rate.
As it appears to use a lot of the CPU I'd guess it's H264 based so it does use a lot...

Edius 6 would only give you input from a BM card, and even then I think it was only the original Intensity Pro. You would need to be on Edius 7 or 8 to get output

Edius 6.06 was the first version to use the original BM Intensity Pro, and it was for input only. Output from BM cards didn't get added until Edius 7

That setting is for output though. When it comes to input the IP4K auto detects the source res and frame-rate, you just have to choose what type of source you are using (HDMI, component etc)

It will only be used for any GPU FX, Colour correction, or 3rd party plug-ins that use the GPU.
