GV will not talk about it if it is not officially suppported. However as we all know from past experience, just because it is not supported, does not mean it will not work.

Once they are in the Bin, select all of them, right click and choose Set as Sequence. That will combine them into 1 file.

Control what comes down to the timeline by using the Track patches located on the far left of the timeline. If you want audio only, turn off the V block. Video only, turn off the A1, A2, etc....

Hold Ctrl and Alt then click on the clip in the timeline. Dragging will slip the clip with full range of the original clip as the choice.

The source file doesn't change unless you change it. What makes you think it is changing? Maybe you set an In and Out on a clip and that is what you see in the Bin?
