Olympus DS-40 voice recorder in Edius

I recall seeing a post on how to to correct the out of sync problem with a DS-40 voice recorder...I'm shooting with a Cannon XHA-1 (I recall converting to a wav and speeding up the audio in Edius, any help.

For me it works like this. Convert the file in Soundbooth to wav 48khz and then slow it down to 98.81% in Edius timeline.

Works fine everytime.

Cheers

More Hardware / Software suffer from an unstable 48 Khz recording, especially when using a bad quality VBR codec's, there are lots out their, and is 100% related to your issue of time delay.
I still remember years ago when I did audio recording with Edius 4.x using the voice over function, as a professional audio app was not available on the customer's work station.
When brought later into my Steinberg audio editor it always imported as a "custom" wave file due to the bit rate swerved around the 48.XXX Hz mark.
So far my test in E5.x have not shown this instability, but then again, I never really seriously used the voice recorder / overdubber again after that experience.
