Pegasus Capture Card

Hi,

Will the Pegasus card be able to accept and capture RGB input when using the HDMI input port? If yes, are you limited to the DVI Profiles or can also use the HDMI profiles?

Also, there was a forum topic back in 2011 stating that the Pegasus drivers were updated to support 64-Bit Windows 7? Is that correct?

Thanks

FYI, the Pegasus board was known as HDRECS in Japan.

Is anyone able tell me if you feed a 8-Bit RGB source with a HDMI cable into the Pegasus's HDMI port, if would you be limited to the DVI capture profiles or if you could also use the HDMI capture profiles?

Anyone? Please!

Best to put in a query to support. I honestly don't know.

Thanks for the reply.

I found a Pegasus for great price and decided to purchase it give it the once over.

Everything works, as I had hoped. Only issue are the levels of preview audio and captured over HDMI are very different when using Windows XP and Windows 7 64-Bit. The preview audio can be adjusted using your sound settings, but I found no setting for the captured audio levels. Even lowering the preview audio input levels on my sound-card results in massive peaking/cracking in both XP/7 during preview. Captured HDMI audio under Windows XP is also peaking/cracking while Windows 7 is far less peaked.

Support said this card is End of Life, so no support.

Sounds like either Mic Boost is being applied to the input or you're getting double amplification.

Win7 has much better audio control compared to XP, but the audio driver and settings will definitely impact the end result.

If you have a reference-level signal you can input (for example, color bars with tone) that should help you figure out what needs to be changed.
