4K EDIUS edit directly to 4K TV or Projector

Happy Sunday!
Is anyone out there editing 4K in EDIUS, and then able to ship that 4K timeline directly to a 4K TV or 4K Projector? If so, what is the best (and not the most expensive) way to accomplish this? Also, if a 4K capable output board is necessary - compatible with the EDIUS output, will that board co-exist with a Spark card which sends 1080 out to a 2K monitor for general non-4K edits?

Love to hear from you guys - seeing that I'm thinking of purchasing a camera capable of 4K video recording.

Many thanks,
Alan

I can confirm what More4K says. We have an Ultrastudio 4K here which can do 50/60P UHD now with Resolve/Premiere but not with EDIUS. However it does do 25/24/30P happily as do the other BM 4K cards. The Intensity Pro 4K is limited to UHD. The other 4K cards do 4K & UHD.

I am assuming by "ship to the timeline to a TV" you do mean when editing? Or are you asking what to do with the edit when finished?

Alan, you're also going to need to upgrade your system for 4K editing. The 3770K will have some issues. The 4790K overclocked would be the low end and the 5960X would be the high end single chip solutions. Look at Pat's specs.

Rather 5960X (8 physical cores) ?

Most X99 boards will take the latest Xeon CPU's so you can put an 18 core Xeon CPU into the X99 boards

I'm ordering my PXW-FS7 this week. Following your lead into 4K editing.
(still lurking in your shadow!) :~)

This looks like great camera and should last for some time in terms of quality.
You can just add some external recording in the time for high fps etc.

180p HD, 60p 4K internal
