Just an update.
As previously mentioned, I don't use Mync much, so I decided not to bother re-installing Edius 8 just to get Mync out of the trial version.
Today the trial period of Edius 9 (plus Mync) ran out. Much to my surprise, Mync has now reverted back to the full version that came with Edius 8 without me actually doing anything.
Surprising, but good. Thought that others might like to know about this issue.

That would be the way to go.
Install the latest version of 8 Wg and you will have a working version of Mync. Make sure to unstall the trial first.

Hi Steve,
I already had Mync installed that came with Edius 8 WG.
Installing Edius 9 trial on the same PC then seems to have overwritten Mync with that trial version.
I decided to uninstall Edius 9 (and Mync). I was then left with no version of Mync installed.
I didn't know how to get the original full version of Mync Standard back. Do I have to reinstall Edius 8 WG to get Mync installed?Last edited by John Hooper; 01-08-2020, 10:16 PM.

EDIUS will install the correct version of Mync.
Any reason you installed the stand alone trial?

I have now unistalled the trial version of Edius 9, leaving the Edius 8.53 WG. I have also uninstalled Mync.
I have now installed the trial version of Mync Standard, and entered my Edius 8.53 Serial number, but Mync still says trial.
Any advice? I might just give up on Mync as I don't use it that often, but it would be good to know if there is a solution?

Mync reverts to trial version
I have Edius 8.52 which has the Standard version of Mync.
I have just installed the trial version of Edius 9 on the same PC. Now Mync is also showing as the trial version.
Will Mync revert back to the Standard version once the Edius 9 trial expires?Tags: None
