  • Settings menu missing VST plugin option???

I just purchased some new VST plugins, I installed them, then went into Edius to the settings menu, selected VST directories, then added the c:\programfiles\vstplugins directory added it to my list. Then after restarting Edius not only were none of my VST plugins available, when I went back to the settings menu to try again,... The VST plugin directory option completely vanished!!!!

    Any ideas anyone?
    HELP!!

    Thanks in advance

This is strange can you tell us which VST they are?

You can also copy them over to the VST folder under Edius.
This way you are bypassing the bridge.

Make sure, too, that you're running the latest version of EDIUS - earlier versions had some quirks with the VST plug-in management window.

        VST Plugins not working???

Thanks for the input, here's the deal..

I am running ver 4.61. and I had a VST folder option under the settings menu, the first time I opened the dialog box. Then when I selected the directory (see attached .jpg) then restarted Edius, no plugins were available, So I went back to the settings dialog and the option in the dialog box for selecting a VST folder was completely gone!

The plugins I am looking to access are my audio filters made by Izotope, they are denoisers, declickers, spectral repair etc...

        Any ideas??

        Thanks!

          Wow, that's rather strange!

So if you move out the contents of the VST subfolder under the EDIUS folder, and then restart EDIUS, do you get the 'VST' category back in the Plug-in Settings window? Or does it remain unavailable?

Very odd - Izotope stuff is meant to work with EDIUS..

First I would reinstall Edius because the bridge is part of edius and should stay there no matter what you do to your vst plugins.

VST Plugin bridge setting missing on Edius 5.5

Did you ever resolve the missing VST Plugin bridge setting on your Edius. I have the same problem with Edius 5.5. No access to Izotope plugins and New Blue plugins, and misc. plugins.

And when I go to setting and Plugin, there is no VST bridge setting.
