Old tech vs. new

I'd really like to use my NewBlue filters in the Region filter, but Region appears to be from the good old, flat-earth days and only has Edius filters in the drop-down list. :~(

Here's hoping there's progress on the old filters eventually.

Use 2 layers, one with a mask then you won't need the region filter.

I'd miss the instant flexibility, ellipse and edge blur of Region.

If you spend 10 minutes in photoshop and create a bunch of soft edge mask and save them in a folder then it is instant next time you use them, I have a folder with nothing but mask in it, I hardly use region except when I have a need to keyframe it to move, but yeah if they can get blue to work with region that would be great, more power to us.
