sorry to confuse here, I made a mistake

Shift+Q was picking up the rendered transition and as result did it in a second

so, Shift+Q and Shift+G take the same time

I have cartoonr, I will rest and report back

Just did the xplode pro 15 sec transition render test and I see equal rendering?

Xplode set to D3d universal renderer and in the config
It is on my video card Direct 3d hal (software antialiasing)

cartoonr applied to a 5 second 1440x1080i Pal clip

        Shift+G = 38 seconds to render
        Shift+Q = 38 seconds to render

cartoonr applied to a 5 second 720x576 16:9 DV Pal clip

        Shift+G = 4 seconds to render
        Shift+Q = 4 seconds to render

so, Shift+G is great, thanks Steve

            NewBlue feedback
Shift +G slowest render is 5 seconds, all in HD, have not tested all yet but only the ones I would use.
Thanks Steve for the info on "Shift G" there is no doubt of the value of using this forum, just GREAT
