Did we just pick up 8 new filters in the drop down? Sharp to Ver Detect? Can't remember what was there pre the plug-in attempt.
    Disregard this post, still looking

Installed great for us. Just followed the steps. But does it play in real time for you guys? It looks like we would have to render the clip.

          1) Quit Edius
          2) Download
          3) Run Installer
          4) Start Edius
          5) Look to the bottom of the Effects Pallet

In response to the last post...
          This Plug-in requires EXTENSIVE rendering!

But thanks for the support! Would like to try it, but our firewall blocks the registration :( .
                    Oh well... maybe at home.
Like others on the forum I don't have web access on my editing computer where it is already installed but not activated. On this computer the firewall blocks registration and yesterday I had a Trojan virus target a specific program and wipe it out so I don't want to deactivate the firewall. How do I overcome this? Do I go to NewBlueFX web site and request a key? Then, how do I install it?

why not allow their url as an exception in your firewall rules

                      btw, software firewalls are useless

I have a hardware firewall which is built inside the netgear ADSL modem and it works perfect and does not block legit actions

what modem do you use, maybe it already has built in firewall but you did not activate it in router setup menu

                        Cartoon Plugin error

                        Hi,
I have installed the Newblue Cartoon Plugin in edius 4.61 but have noticed that when I open up Edius the section where I select new progect is all black around the out side, I can still select or enter a progect name ect and edius starts normally, I would like to know why the progect setting page before edius starts is black around the edges of it.

                        Cheers
                        Steve

Yah... I saw that (black-edged startup) tonight also. Freaked me out enough to restart my PC. Still there! Must be that less-than-100%-compatible thing.

If I run 4.6 or 4.61 on my system, it has the black splash screen at start up, and it has operational errors as previously discussed, could this be an indication that all is not well?

This plugin causes a shutdown error with Edius on my laptop too (4.61)

                              Black Thing

                              hi,
I don't know if it is to do with Edius or not, I have the latest Wave Arts Audio VST plugins installed, but when I install all the Wave Arts VST plugins it will do it, I worked out that if I take one of the VST plugins out all is fine, so I took the one out that I do not use, I just Spoke to Anton at AntonsVideo and he said that the Newblue Cartoon Effect is not a VST Plugin, I think the problem lies with NewBlue some how, as I installed it and rwmoved my wavearts just to check and it still caused the black edge on start up, soon as I remove the plugin all is good again, I will wait and see if NewBlue have any ideas or any one on this forum.

                              Cheers
