  • Free Plugin - Cartoon Effect For Edius

    Hi,

I just saw this and it looks Quite a bit like xPlode FX Pro for Modern systems.

But they are also giving away (As Well as having to register it with an email address ) a free Edius Plug-in as well

Enjoy..... overall my review ....this stuff looks good.

Where is the cartoon version that works with Edius. I poked around the site for a few minutes and found references to lots of other NLEs that it will work with but no Edius or Grass Valley/Canopus.

So... what is GV doing in their spare time? This is pretty cool!

This is straight out of Edius! Be aware! This plug-in is NOT 100% Edius compliant, but worth a look!

Here's some fun I had last night!
33 min. render took some getting used to... but I'm over it now.

              They also have VST's.
              Probably worth looking into.

                register

Any idea how to register this Cartoonr FX on a computer with strictly no Internet connection?

There is no register option in the plugin unless you have a connection. I installed it on THIS computer (not my editing computer) and got a serial number, but there is no where to enter it into the plugin.

When I do cancel, the plugin works but puts a big watermark on the video.

Just be aware there is a potentially corrupt NewBlu DLL file that conflicts with other Edius plug-ins (probably ProDad but not sure) that manifests on Edius closure with an error message if both plug-ins are accessed during a session.

Rusty, I'd love to see your video! I'm at NAB this week and might even be able to show it.
Redgum, what is the "potentially corrupt NewBlue dll?" Let me know so we can investigate.

                    Thanks,

Vimeo failed to encode and it is not available for download... I'll try again today at lunchtime.

Staying on Edius topic, my vid is 100% Edius+NewBlue plug-in.

Note to GV management: work with these guys, great potential!

Are you going to make the rest of your Plug-ins work with Edius?
