I deleted everything including the registry and reinstalled. Probably enough to clean the registry, but better safe than sorry :)

I totally understand. I will paste again what I received from NB. What I did you can send to clients. Maybe that'll help though
                  1. Reboot your system
                  2. Run the Titler Pro Uninstaller (found in C:\Program Files\NewBlueFX\uninstallers)
                  3. Go back to C:\Program Files\NewBlueFX and make sure the folder Titler is removed
                  4. Go to C:\Program Files\NewBlue and make sure the folder Titler Pro 2.0 for Windows is removed (it is OK, if this path does not exist)
                  5. Go to C:\Program Files\Grass Valley\EDIUS\PlugIn\NewBlueFX and make sure Titler is removed
                  6. Click Start and type Regedit, then run the app
                  7. Within Regedit, look under HKEY_CURRENT_USER > SOFTWARE, right-click NewBlue and select Delete
                  8. Next look under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE > SOFTWARE, right click NewBlue and select Delete
