When I installed Edius x, (full version), Vitascene 4.0 was installed as a seperate application, but does not appear in the filters of Edius--

I don't have X or vitascene, but generally plugins are installed by the application/plugin installer (vitascene in this case). If the installer recognizes Edius X and has a compatible plugin file, it will normally install it or at least ask you if you want to.

If Vitiacene is not Edius X aware it will not install the plugin. If it is Edius 9 aware, it may have given the option to install an edius 9 plugin, which you may be able to copy from an edius 9 plugin folder into your edius x plugin folder. You will have to look on your system and see if the files are there or re-run the installer and see if you may have skipped over an Edius X option.
